Had two Model Y's but didn't want to keep them and they were depreciating before our eyes as we checked the prices so bit the bullet and swapped out both. Had varying amounts of equity in the cars but got what we could that would match our realistic needs. Bittersweet but one less thing we needed to think about! Aside - Used bolts are crazy cheap! Kinda plasticy but for the 2 mile commute it works. Ioniq 6 is super long! Bolt is not pulled in all the way else it would really show. Was able to get a 2023 with only 1700 miles which is crazy, but while the rated range is 270 vs 310 on the Y, in the 80 mile drive to the dealer and then back the Ioniq used less of the battery percentage. Some variability in the drives but at least a very close match. Insurance also went down with each purchase which was nice.

At 6:30 am this morning, I was accelerating through a stale green light on a dark, city street to get to the interstate. Just a normal drive to work. My 2018 Model 3 alarm sounded which alerted me to hit the brake - then I saw him at the last second and swerved. I would like to say thank you to Tesla engineering as this could have been a very bad day. And to the homeless man crossing the street, please be careful, and I hope your situation improves.

I was pondering buying a M3 Premium long range or even the performance, but all these changes are making me nervous.

My wife and I are thinking about upgrading from a Toyota Camry to a Tesla Model 3 or Y for the first time in 2-3 months; is it worth it? I've been reading reviews, pros and cons, articles about Tesla doing bad in the car market and possibly leaving?, etc. From people that own one or have owned one, what are your pros and cons? We would be paying for whichever in cash. Is the Model 3 or Y AWD better?

We’re thinking about switching from BMW X5 45 to Tesla model Y or model X. I drove some years hybrid and I think I’m ready gor full electric driving. On the other hand I see a lot of people that are moving from full electric to hybrid or even fuel. Also Tesla is taking some shifts in their strategy and the question is how this will affect car owners. What’s your advice?

they just hit negative today. with all other stocks going up - why is it only harsh on tesla today? i know they missed the delivery last quarter which makes sense.. but they are already more than -30% from ATH. but i guess when i look at weekly chart, they are still right on 60 MA... it's crazy to see with 30% plunge, they are still on 60MA.. but what are your thoughts on tesla and any feedback?

Title says it all but to give some detail, you never realize how ridiculous it is to lease one of these until lease end comes. Support is horrible for trying to get a buyout quote for a potential third party dealership, they nickel and dime you with a disposition fee just to return the car, let alone if you even wanted to lease another one there is no real incentive to it. They offered a 500 dollar credit which basically pays for the ordering fee….. very unhappy with Tesla I would never get another one. Now I will say some things are my own fault like not realizing after three years I would need to change the tires before bring it back to the dealer/store. But overall if I could go back in time no way I would do it the money I saved I’m paying for on the back end.

I'm purposely not asking on the Tesla subreddits, because they are toxic circlejerks. Buying a car now, I have one thing that's a no-deal without - FSD, and therefore I'm locked into Tesla. Wondering if I should be waiting until the end of the year, or maybe early next year for refreshed versions or maybe HWD5 that will start getting rolled out then? I would either want to get a good deal on the current offerings or pay the same for whatever comes out next - did this with my previous Model Y (got the legacy model with $5k off when they launched the Juniper). Edit: Yuck, Reddit... For a moment there I allowed myself to forget where I was.
